My background comes from humble, hands-on work. I grew up around the restaurant and real-estate worlds, where I saw how much work goes into keeping a business running behind the scenes. I understand that business owners wear a lot of hats—serving customers, managing employees, handling expenses, following up with clients, and trying to plan for the future. Keeping the books accurate often gets pushed to the side, even though it is one of the most important parts of the business.
